Our Story

I was teaching my kiddos about economics as part of our homeschool curriculum.

Part of their assignment was to find a problem and come up with a solution. My son, looked at his sister's soft sole baby shoes and noticed how worn down her shoes were after 2 weeks. They didn't smell the best because they weren't breathable. 

 We learned where products come from, how businesses work, and what it takes to create something people actually need. 

So we started researching products. We tested our products with real babies and their parents. They gave us real feedback. 

As a mom, I had spent way too much money on baby moccasins that either fell apart after a few weeks or weren't made with materials I felt good about.

That led me down a rabbit hole of researching pediatric foot health, natural foot development, and what makes a good first shoe.

I even consulted with a pediatrician and a podiatrist to learn more.

What started as a homeschool lesson became Waves and Arrows—a soft-soled shoe company designed for little explorers.

And now we're not just selling shoes. Through our partnership with Compassion International, we're working toward putting shoes on children who need them around the world.

Not bad for a first-grade economics lesson.
